"সকলের তরে সকলে আমরা প্রত‍্যেকে আমরা পরের তরে।" "মানুষ সমাজবদ্ধ জীব। তাই সমাজের প্রতি দায়বদ্ধতা থেকেই আমাদের এই ক্ষুদ্র প্রয়াস। একসাথে কাজ করার জন্যই আমরা বসুন্ধরা ইনস্টিটিউট অফ সোস্যাল ওয়েলফেয়ার অ‍্যান্ড অ‍্যাওয়ারনেস তৈরী করেছি। আমাদের ক্ষুদ্র সামর্থ অনুযায়ী সমাজের প্রান্তিক অধিবাসীদে কাছে পৌঁছে গেছি দুর্গা পূজার আগে বা শীতের শুরুতে। বস্তিবাসী শিশুদের জন্য আয়োজন করেছি বিনামুল্যে যোগাসন ও অঙ্কনের প্রশিক্ষণ। আমাদের কর্মক্ষেত্রর পরিধি কলকাতা, নদীয়া, উত্তর চব্বিশ পরগনা ও দক্ষিণ চব্বিশ পরগনা পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত। ভবিষ্যতে কর্মক্ষেত্রের পরিধি বিস্তার করার ইচ্ছে রইল। প্রত‍্যাশা রইল সাধারন মানুষ এগিয়ে এসে সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দেবেন।" Read more

Message from the Secretary

Some college teachers were performing social services individually. With a discussion among them someone proposed that if they form a society then they may serve the society in a higher scale. From the point of view of social responsibility those college teachers with some other persons with the social service mentality formed this NGO: Basundhara Institute of Social Awaewness and Services ( BISWA ) in the year 2010 and started it's journey distributing new clothes to 80 poor persons just before the Durga Puja Festival in a village at Badkulla in Nadia district of West Bengal. Thereafter so many services have been done including Merit- cum-Means Scholarship to college students, coaching for NET/ SET Examinations with a nominal charges in collaboration with Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya and donation to the West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund, Government of West Bengal. Till date our NGO didn't get any Fund from Government or from abroad. All functions have been done from members' own contributions and surplus from NET/SET Coaching. Read more
